Reading, writing, reflecting, presenting, publishing, exchanging knowledge and knowledge are constructive processes of professional expansion, beyond the very center of the "I" towards the wider universe of "we". The deepening of so many questions involves the various practices of research, readings and revisions of the day to day, beyond the time of commitment, dedication and determination in overcoming obstacles and balancing individual ideas within a team work. Sharing the results, spreading the news and opening the range of future alternatives always brings the joy of expanding borders and more inspirations to continue in the professional career, through other circles and associations.

This has been part of the path of our Adolescence & Health Magazine, already with 14 years of work, and online transmission since 2010, with 628 scientific articles already published. In the period between 01/03/2010 to 10/31/2017, the Magazine´s website received a total of 3.539,971 access.

In the last year, covering the period of 10/31/2016  to  10/31/2017, our images was accessed by professionals of 3.665 cities in Brazil and in the whole world, from 163 different countries. Always crossing borders in national and international congresses.

As an example of the dissemination of knowledge in the area we can highlight the Scientific Department of Adolescence of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics, with associate members from eight Brazilian states who have been presenting lectures and conferences, as well as supervising the research on "I Caring for the Future do Brasil", during the 38th Brazilian Congress of Pediatrics held on October, between 10 to 14, 2017, in Fortaleza, Ceará (For more information, visit the website:

The conference of Dr. Tamera Coyne-Beasley on the new management as president of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) during the opening of the event that took place in New Orleans, the United States, from 8 to 11 March 2017; was published in the Journal of Adolescent Health ( and with authorial and editorial permission, has been translated into Portuguese, and is being published in our Journal with great honor and joy.

These are some examples of the importance of sharing knowledge in networks and dedicating ourselves to the health issue of adolescents, our best investment in the future, and thus expanding the frontiers for a better world. In this issue, we bring several examples that will serve as seeds to be cultivated by all of us.
