Enteroparasitosis is a prevalent disease in children and adolescents living in developing countries and is widely distributed. The prevalence of enteroparasitosis is higher in rural and marginalized areas, and the individual may be monoparasitized or have two or more enteroparasites. The presence of worms can negatively influence the nutritional status of the host, which in turn affects physical growth and psychomotor and educational development. It is known that control measures such as implementation of sanitary conditions, hygiene and deworming are necessary to prevent infection and reinfection by helminths, especially during childhood and adolescence.
