Abstract

This comprehensive assessment investigates how common stress and anxiety are in Indian adolescents along with their linked variables. By reviewing 50 studies in different parts of India this study uncovers significant influences on adolescent mental health including economic and academic pressures. This data shows that stress and anxiety levels among adolescents are very common in cities highly influenced by academic pressure. Women often express greater stress and anxiety compared to men among adolescent girls. Adolescents from poor families and rural areas face higher risks because of lack of financial stability and restricted mental health services. Even with the rise of telemedicine and educational programs there are still major deficiencies in getting and using mental health resources particularly in the countryside. Faced with these challenges demands joint initiatives to connect mental health programs with schools and increase digital knowledge for telemedicine while breaking down the stigma related to mental health in India. The study ends by suggesting changes in policy and the importance of local strategies to lessen adolescent stress and anxiety in India.
