The Influence of Certification And Professionalism on Teacher Motivation and Performance in Madrasah Aliyah Throughout Kendari City

This study analyzes the influence of certification and professionalism on teacher work motivation and performance, as well as the mediating role of work motivation among Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Kendari City. The study involved 135 respondents selected using proportionate stratified random sampling from 262 teachers. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that certification and professionalism have a positive effect on work motivation. Work motivation and professionalism have a positive effect on teacher performance, while certification has no direct effect on performance. Work motivation fully mediates the effect of certification and partially the effect of professionalism on teacher performance.
