Abstract

Globally 1.3 billion adolescents accounting 16% of the global population (1). India has the largest adolescent population, 253 million, with every fifth person aged 10 to 19.(2) anxiety disorders affect 3.6% of 10-14-year-olds and 4.6% of those aged 15-19 years(2).Self-esteem impacts numerous aspects of life, including relationships, mental health, and achievement in school and the workplace. Self-esteem issues frequently start in childhood, and a negative school atmosphere might also contribute to low self-esteem. (14)
