Abstract

While anger serves a vital evolutionary role, excessive levels of the emotion might impede one's ability to carry out daily tasks. For the sake of their own well-being and safety, teenagers should learn effective strategies for managing their anger. The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of an anger management program on the following outcomes: adjustment, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and anger level in school-aged teenagers.

Results demonstrated an improvement in problem solving (81.66 ± 4.81), communication (82.40 ± 3.82), adjustment (28.35 ± 3.76), and decreased anger (56.48 ± 4.97). There was a significant difference (P < 0.05) in the post test mean scores within the experimental group and between the experimental and control groups.

The findings showed that the anger management program helped school-aged teens improve their problem-solving, communication, and adjustment abilities while decreasing their anger levels.
