Objective: To analyze the production of care by Primary Health Care nurses in the prevention of adolescent pregnancy. Method: An exploratory and descriptive qualitative study conducted with six nurses working in Primary Health Care Units in the municipality of Jaguaribe, Ceará, in June 2023, using semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The study complied with all ethical and legal requirements, in accordance with Resolution No. 466/12, and was approved by a Research Ethics Committee. Results: The findings showed that nurses carry out educational actions aimed at preventing adolescent pregnancy, mainly through lectures, conversation circles, guidance on contraceptive methods, and activities within the School Health Program. However, a predominance of traditional strategies and difficulties in diversifying approaches were observed. Low adolescent adherence, structural limitations, the absence of multiprofessional teams, and family vulnerabilities constituted the main challenges. Despite these difficulties, participants recognized the relevance of their role and demonstrated commitment to care, bonding, and the pursuit of more participatory strategies. Final considerations: The findings reinforce the need for intersectoral actions, engaging methodologies, and the strengthening of adolescent health policies.Downloads
