Abstract

Objective: to investigate the perceptions of pupils at two vocational training schools of the importance of communication
performance for entering the job market. Methods: Questionnaires on communication performance and its relationship
to the job market were completed by technical school pupils. Variables such as gender and school type were compared
through the chi-square test, with a signifi cance level of 95%. Conclusion: Pupils at two vocational training schools felt that
their communication performances were good, with no signifi cant statistical differences for variables such as school type
and gender.
