Abstract

Addressing the issue of adolescents in the Brazilian Health Service, this paper is intended to encourage healthcare
practitioners to refl ect on the services offered to adolescents. We believe that adolescents should receive a warm and
comprehensive welcome at healthcare facilities, so that they feel valued and trust the practitioners they see there, as many
adolescents must surmount countless barriers when seeking help or explanations about their health.
