Abstract

The respective study is a question of the information that the adolescent patient carrier of lupus followed in specialized ambulatory service has about his illness. For this study it was up the descriptive and methodological and exploratory, with quantitative approach. The subjects were 22 adolescents in the age group of 12 to 19 years. This study made possible to know the adolescent carrier of lupus and evidence the one that his understand regarding his illness and treatment. After this research development it became evident that knowing this patients in its peculiarities favors the contact, the listening and the link formation, in order to provide a better patients relationship with the health team. This approach between professionals and adolescents establishes a two-way route in which the adolescents can dialogue about what is living in this condition, clarify his questions with reference to how to live with the illness and understand its influence in the life daily. For the professionals, it makes possible to extend his care minimizing the pathology repercussion.
