Abstract

In today’s world, the cult of the body is becoming increasingly important, developing into a real obsession, especially
among teenagers and young adults. Objective: To detail all situations that have happened in searching this perfect body is
the objective of this article, drawing the attention of practitioners working with adolescents and young adults to the risks
they may face. Conclusion: Informing, clarifying, understanding and sizing the issue, answers are sought to the following
question: is the cult of the body just a matter of beauty or the start of a disease? The replies examine how to work with and
teach young people about this delicate issue, attempting through refl ection to retrieve the prudence and values that these
young people have but certainly do not know. Establishing preventive work strategies will surely help preclude high-risk
behavior among them.
