Abstract

Objectives: To trace the profile of the adolescent users of Centro de Referência em Atenção à Saúde do Adolescente (1º District) in the city of Jaboatão dos Guararapes. Methodology: The results were obtained through quantitative and qualitative research of multiprofessional handbooks of adolescents taken care of since the implantation of the program, in 2001, up to 2006. Conclusions: A bigger spreading of the services offered by the center to adolescents is necessary, mainly to males. The care for adolescents in the age group of 16 to 19 years must also be increased. As main demand, we have the search for attendance in the area of psychology. The success of the program was achieved with 5,340 visits by the end of 2006.
