The problem of adolescent mental health is an emerging public health issue in the world as the rates of anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and psychosocial difficulties have been rising adversely impacting educational achievements, social network, and well-being. This research gauged the usefulness of multidisciplinary pediatric solutions and preventive wellness education programs in adjourning mental health in adolescents by scientific exchange programs among medical practitioners, teachers, families, and the community. The study design was a cross sectional analytical study between January and April 2026 of 200 adolescents between 13 and 18 years old recruited in four secondary schools and three community health centres with stratified random sampling. Validated questionnaires were used to gather the data on demographic factors, mental health, emotional well-being, involvement in wellness education programs, and involvement in multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare services. The statistical tests were done with SPSS 27.0, which consisted of descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, independent t-tests, and multiple linear regression. Among the participants, 112 (56.0%) were female and 88 (44.0%) were male, with a mean age of 15.8 ± 1.7 years. One hundred and eighty-two (158/79.0) teens were engaged in preventive wellness education programs and one hundred and forty-six (146/73.0) teens engaged with multidisciplinary healthcare teams regularly. The emotional well-being scores (4.12 ± 0.56 vs. 3.28 ± 0.71; p < 0.001) were significantly higher in adolescents who participated in multidisciplinary pediatric programs and had limited engagement. Engagement in wellness education programs had a positive correlation with emotional well-being (r = 0.68, p < 0.001) and a negative correlation with anxiety and depressive symptoms (r = -0.61, p < 0.001). A multidisciplinary healthcare engagement (β = 0.42, p < 0.001), wellness education engagement (β = 0.37, p < 0.001) and family support (β = 0.31, p = 0.002) were found to be significant predictors of positive mental health outcomes, with 64.8% of the variance in emotional well-being explained by multidisciplinary healthcare engagement, wellness education engagement and family support (Adjusted R²= 0.648). The results show that scientific exchange programs that advocate the concept of multidisciplinary care and preventive wellness education in adolescents lead to better mental health, increased emotional resilience and lowered levels of psychological distress in adolescents. Enhancing the development of cross-sector collaborations between the healthcare sectors, schools, families, and community organizations can offer a long-lasting and successful approach to achieving the goal of ensuring the well-being of adolescence and preventive psychological medicine.Downloads
