Abstract

Stress, anxiety, emotional fluctuations/instability, and a lack of access to supportive healthcare services among youth have led to adolescent emotional wellness becoming a significant area of public health concern. This paper was a research study that determined the extent of effective use of professional pediatric healthcare innovations to enhance access to emotional wellness resources and preventive community-based healthcare services by adolescents. The analytical study was cross-sectional carried out between January and April 2026 in the group of adolescents aged between 13-18 years, consisting of 200 participants recruited in four secondary schools, three community healthcare institutions, and two pediatric healthcare centres. The structured questionnaires were used to gather the data related to demographic features, emotional welfare, the use of preventive health care, and the availability of innovative pediatric healthcare services. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and multiple regression were used to perform statistical analyses in SPSS version 27.0. Amongst the 200 respondents, 108 (54.0%) were female and 92 (46.0%) were male and 142 (71.0%) had used innovative pediatric healthcare services regularly and 158 (79.0%) take part in community-based preventive health programs. The emotional wellness score was 4.02 with the mean of 4.02 attached to the wellness score with a standard deviation of 0.63. Adolescents who reported more access to pediatric healthcare innovations had highly better emotional wellness scores (4.31 ± 0.52) in comparison with a group where adolescents reported limited access (3.54 ± 0.71; p < 0.001). The access to healthcare innovation and emotional wellness were found to be significantly and positively correlated (r = 0.62, p < 0.001). As important predictors of emotional wellness, a multiple regression study found healthcare accessibility (β = 0.41, p < 0.001), community prevention program participation (β =0.29, p = 0.002), and family support (β =0.25, p = 0.006). The results have shown that professional pediatric healthcare innovations have a significant positive impact on the availability of emotional wellness resources to adolescents and the preventative healthcare services, which contribute to the enhanced mental well-being and reveal the necessity to increase community-oriented health pediatric care efforts.
