Background: Rare genetic childhood disorders affect millions of children worldwide and are often associated with delayed diagnosis, disease progression and increased health care burden. Phenotypic variability and lack of clinical awareness often impede traditional diagnostic approaches. Precision pediatrics, combining genomic sequencing, bioinformatics, and personalized medicine, has been proposed as a promising approach to improve the early detection and diagnosis of rare genetic disorders. Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of precision pediatrics approaches on early detection of rare genetic childhood diseases and on clinical outcome. Methodology: A review of recent studies published in the period from 2020 to 2026 was performed using major scientific databases. We conducted a literature review on genomic technologies, next-generation sequencing, AI-assisted diagnostics, and precision medicine applications in pediatric genetics. Findings: The review found that precision pediatric approaches significantly increased diagnostic accuracy and reduced diagnostic delays. Whole exome and whole genome sequencing have been reported to have diagnostic yield of 35% to 60% by studies. Early genetic diagnosis facilitated timely intervention, personalized treatment strategies and better disease management. Artificial intelligence-based tools further improved variant interpretation and clinical decision-making. Conclusion: Precision pediatrics represents a revolutionary approach to early diagnosis of rare genetic childhood disorders. Inclusion of next-generation genomic technologies and personalized healthcare approaches can improve efficiency of diagnosis, optimize treatment outcomes and provide a better management of long-term health for affected children.
