Abstract

Adolescence is a sensitive stage of physical, emotional, cognitive and social developments that needs an integrated effort of healthcare and school systems. In this study, the effectiveness of collaborative pediatric and educational interventions facilitated with the help of smart communication technologies as to the strengthening of development in adolescence was evaluated. A cross-sectional analytical study was done on a sample of 200 adolescents between the ages of 13-18 years recruited through stratified random sampling in schools and pediatric healthcare facilities. The standardized questionnaires were used to gather data and analyzed with SPSS 27.0 with the statistical significance of p < 0.05. The mean adolescent development score increased significantly from 68.4 ± 9.6 to 84.7 ± 8.2 (p < 0.001). The use of smart communication technology was at 88.5% and 89.5% of the participants were very satisfied with the interventions. Pediatric and educational strategies of collaboration with the help of digital technology offered a significant enhancement of adolescent development and assist in terms of their integration in the school and pediatric healthcare practice.
