Abstract

Background Congenital disorders are one of the main causes of morbidity and health care problems in pediatric populations all over the world. While traditional open surgery has been effective, it is often linked to increased postoperative pain, longer hospital stays and higher complication rates. The recent progress in minimally invasive surgical techniques has lead to revolutionize the care of pediatric surgery with improved precision, safety, and recovery.  Objective: To assess the efficacy of novel minimally invasive surgical techniques for managing congenital disorders in pediatric patients and their impact on clinical outcomes.  Methodology: This prospective observational study was done on 220 pediatric patients with congenital disorders requiring surgical correction. Minimally invasive advanced procedures such as laparoscopic, thoracoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries were introduced. We collected and analyzed operative time, complication rates, recovery duration and patient outcomes over a 12-month period.  Findings: The results showed a decrease in postoperative complications from 18.6% to 7.9% while the average hospital stay decreased from 6.4 days to 3.1 days. Success rates for surgery increased to 95.8% and recovery time decreased by 42.7%. Patient and caregiver satisfaction increased to 93.2% demonstrating the efficacy of minimally invasive approaches.  Conclusion: Advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques significantly improve clinical results, reduce recovery time and enhance safety during correction of pediatric congenital disorders. These innovations are a promising direction of the modern pediatric surgical practice.
