Abstract

Background: Pediatric endocrine disorders like growth hormone deficiency, congenital hypothyroidism, type 1 diabetes mellitus, and adrenal dysfunction have a major impact on growth, metabolism, and overall development in children. Traditional hormonal therapies tend to use a one-size-fits-all treatment approach that may not take into account the unique genetic and clinical differences among patients. Precision medicine has been a promising strategy in the optimization of endocrine care with personalized diagnosis and treatment strategies.  Objective: To assess the efficacy of precision medicine approaches in enhancing the diagnosis, treatment and clinical outcomes of the pediatric endocrine disorders via personalized hormonal therapies.  Methodology: We conducted a prospective observational study of 280 pediatric patients with endocrine disorders. Combining genetic profiling, biomarker analysis and clinical assessments, we developed individualized hormone treatment plans. Patients were followed up for 12 months with digital healthcare records and endocrine function assessments.  Findings: Results showed that the effectiveness of the treatment increased from 76.8% to 93.4%. The accuracy of hormonal regulation was increased to 95.1%, and adverse treatment reactions were reduced by 38.6%. 89.7% of patients reported an improvement in clinical symptoms and overall patient satisfaction was 92.3%.  Conclusion: Precision medicine-based approaches greatly improve the efficacy of personalized hormonal therapy in pediatric endocrine care. The integration of genetic, biomarker and clinical data allow for optimized treatment decisions, improved therapeutic outcomes and better long-term management of patients.
